The prompt is up, the brain has been churning, and this morning, as I navigated my way through rush hour traffic, something came to me. It’s a mutation of an old idea that died on the vine, but I think it’s time for a resurrection, folks.

Prep for NaNoWriMo

Sooooooooo, today I blew the dust off an old idea I think might be good for NaNoWriMo. It’s something that I’ve been turning over for a couple of years, something that I have a start, middle and ending for. As we all know, the finished article will be NOTHING like the original idea, but that’s half the fun, isn’t it?

On a separate note, this blog will probably be read by no one, so this is just me talking to myself and the digital ether.

Just like writing.

Ha ha, wouldya look at that? Two years and no postings. Told you I was fair-weather.

Well, I’ve signed up for NaNoWriMo for 2010, which means I really should pull my finger out and commit. Not that I haven’t written anything in two years. I just haven’t updated this blog.

So there.

Let’s see if I can stick to it this time.

Well, since everyone else is doing it……

Well I’ve just discovered this wonderful little app for my iPhone that allows me to post on the go. Sweet!

Anyway, I thought since EVERYONE is dropping a blog here and there these days I might as well do it.

I call myself a fair-weather writer because, well, I’m a lazy writer, and I write when I feel like. I enjoy doing it, then again I enjoy doing OTHER things too, so it’s whichever comes to hand first. At the moment, though, the writing’s gooooood.

So here’s the score: I write stuff, I chuck it up here under The Novel. When I want to write about writing, or whatever’s going on, that goes under Diary. Simple, right? We’ll see.
